What we hold, and why

Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, that is a fault in the writing — the officer named at the bottom will answer.

Who this is

Pedagoggyy is operated by Sev7n. It connects families with IB tutors, and holds only what running that connection needs.

What we collect

Everyone. Your name, email address and the role your account holds. Nothing else is required to sign up.

Tutors. The profile you write, the subjects and levels you teach, your rates and availability, the sessions you deliver, and the ratings families give you. Separately and privately: your legal name and identity documents, for the verification every tutor completes before being listed, and tax identifiers where the law requires them.

Families. The students on your account, the subjects and levels they study, the sessions you book, and the work they submit through the platform.

Messages. Conversations between a family and a tutor are stored, because they are the record if an arrangement is ever disputed.

What we do not collect

  • A tutor’s employer. There is no such field anywhere in the system, and a request carrying one is rejected rather than ignored.
  • A student’s webcam, voice or name in any teaching recording. Where recording exists, it captures the tutor’s screen and the tutor’s audio, and nothing else.
  • Anything about a student that is used to compare them with another student. There is no class view, no ranking, and no predicted grade.

What is never shown to anyone else

A tutor’s legal name, identity documents and tax identifiers are held on a separate restricted record. They are visible to the staff who review identity and to nobody else — not to families, not on a public profile, not on a booking.

A tutor’s assessment result is private by default. Publishing it is the tutor’s decision and is reversible; a result that has not been published is shown to nobody, and no note that one exists appears in its place.

A student’s progress is visible to their guardian and to the tutors teaching them. It is never pooled with other students’.

Why we hold it

To run the service you asked for: to let a family find a tutor, book sessions, see work and progress, and pay for it; to let a tutor be found, teach, and be paid. Identity verification exists so a family knows who they are letting near their child. Tax records exist because the law requires them.

We do not sell any of it, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Some records we must keep — a tax record behind a payment, for instance — and where that applies we will say which and why rather than simply declining.

Requests go to the officer below.

If this changes

A new version gets a new version string, shown at the top of this page. What you consented to does not change later on: your record points at the version you were shown.
